of just curious: why is the yakult bottle so small?

Do you want to know why Yakult doesn’t come in bigger bottles?

The Collective Intelligence posts this question: Why is the Yakult bottle so small?

Is too much of it bad for you? Is it because of the price? Or is it just that company officials never really thought about it? According to data from Yakult’s companies in Malaysia and Australia, the cultured milk drink only comes in small bottles to avoid contamination. In other countries, Yakult is sold in 65-ml and 100-ml bottles. Yakult has only one flavor in all countries across the globe, except in Singapore where it’s sold in 3 more variants — orange, grape and apple.

of the rise of the proudly disgruntled singaporean

Rovik ( writes

it’s come to my knowledge that Singapore is changing. ok, everyone knows that. But Singapore’s society is evolving. In the recent National Day Rally, PM Lee pointed out that there are three modes of help – government , the individual and the community……i’m a big fan of the concept of an united community – a people that can come together and celebrate major events together. we can have debates and discussions about policies and what happens in the news, but when it comes to our people, our celebrations, we celebrate together. we don’t put each other down, we build each other up.

of singaporean auntie beaten up by her neighbor

Videos of a fight between two neighbors have gone viral.

Video released at 4pm, 28 Sep 2013 by Goh Maggie: “My MIL (mother-in-law) was bashed up by her Neighbour brutally. She is now admitted to the hospital and is under observation now. This is only first half…. The second half is more terrible. The woman who attacked my MIL has been arrested and most likely charged in court for several other charges. She even assaulted the policewoman

The actual beating actually lasted for 20 mins and this video clip is only the first portion of 3mins. Those beating at the back are worst than u can imagine. It’s totally inhuman….that is all I could say.

of hmv singapore to close outlet in somerset

HMV Singapore’s general manager Michele Tan confirmed that Nov 4 will see the 313@Somerset outlet close for good.

This comes just 10 months after HMV’s Hong Kong and Singapore business was bought over by Hong Kong equity firm Aid Partners Capital, a month after the British-based music giant went bankrupt in January.

US-based Tower Records and home-grown chain Sembawang Music Centre, which had 26 outlets at its peak, were the first to go in 2006 and 2009, respectively. Gramophone, another local outfit, announced its closure earlier this month. In February, the 19-year-old That CD Shop chain closed two of its outlets, in Paragon and Tanglin Mall, and is now left with four.
